There
is nothing more precious than an Arabian foal. Since
the Pharaoh's Horses strongly supports naming Arabian horses with traditional
Arabian names, we have assembled this list of possible names in both Arabic
to English and English to Arabic. This list of Arabic-English translations
came from several dictionaries. Some gave gender and others did not so I have
not attempted to include gender. Also, words in Arabic that are translated
according to the ear of the interpreter so the same word may appear beginning
with a J or G, or a Q or G, as there is no exact English equivalent. This
does give us considerable leeway with spelling. It is a shame that so much
of the beauty of many Arabic phases is often lost in translation.
